WHAT HAVE BEEN ACCOMPLISHED:
JMEC has been structural engineer for a roof reconstruction. The adjourning building was demolished after a fire but the roof and the adjacent wall did not properly rebuild.
To improve natural lighting, aesthetics, pedestrian circulation and access, the roof was reconstructed to match existing texture and color, and walls were removed to open up the area to the lawn area. The resulting lobby is more inviting and matches the appearances of other buildings in the complex.
Due to the overhanging roof, steel beams were bolted to existing gluelam beams to provide support for the new roof framing.
